Big Brother: Can the Donatos Pull It Off? Who Knows? Commentary by Alisa September 8, 2007
How did a Kansas girl make the biggest mistakes of her life? First of all, she fell in love with Eric, who, despite being America's Player was possibly the most annoying guy on the Planet, and then she compounded it by listening to his advice and not voting Dick or Daniele out when she had the chance.
What does Jessica have to show for it? Nothing but a quick trip out of the BB House door, soon to be followed by her new sweetheart, Eric. Ah, young love, sweet love.
The Last and Final Four
Jameka feels downright ill-at-ease. She has not had anything close to a friendship or an alliance with Zach, Dick or Daniele. What's a girl to do? Keep on praying. She is definitely asking God to let her stay in the House. Sometimes I really wonder why and then I remind myself that it's all for her nieces/nephews and godchildren. Isn't that the reason anyone would play this mind-blowing game? Hell, no! But being a God-loving woman, Jameka wants to win simply to do it for the kids. It's always for the kids, isn't it? This universal cry is heard throughout the world.
Zach will always be looked upon as the odd man out. He is a strange one. Sometimes he comes out with these grandiose statements about himself and at other times I feel that he is a very insecure guy who hasn't really shared much about himself or let anyone into his life. I am torn between feeling a bit sorry for him while thinking that he's a dork with few friends because he seems to lack the social graces. It's almost as if he is very needy and wants friends while at the same time he puts up a wall to keep others out.
Dick is a force to be reckoned with. He is very wily and smart while behaving like a boor with his spitting, farting and other nasty habits. He will swear that he always tells the truth but does he really? He will make a pact with another player but that can last anywhere from one minute to two days. I find him to be a fascinating character and while his love for his daughter appears to be the real thing, he fails to understand why she treats him badly. He is an embarrassment to her as a father and she made that clear to him. However, there is a bond between them and the saying "Blood is thicker than water" definitely applies in their case.
Daniele. Pretty, smart, great competitor and liar extraordinaire. She will lie in your face and smile at the same time. When she told Eric, "No worries" I just about busted a gut laughing. How can anyone believe her? She has lied to more people with that innocent look on her face than Donald Trump has fired people. I wonder how she really feels/felt about Nick who seemed to be such a genuine guy. Was she using him? Of course. Did she really care for him? Who the hell knows?
Those are our Final Four, ladies and gentlemen. Who would you pick as the winner?
Amber and the Early Show
You might wonder why Amber did not make an appearance on The Early Show unlike every other houseguest who has ever been evicted in the last eight seasons.
It was due to the fact that Amber had made some abhorrent remarks about Jewish people (not unlike Mel Gibson) and the network decided not to interview her. Jameka will be treated the same way because she was part of that Jew-hating conversation with Amber and never even said anything to indicate that her feelings were any different from the hateful thoughts that Amber expressed during their "hammock talk." Is this what America is all about? I don't think so. It's a disgrace to think that people in the United States would feel this way about Jewish people and since the Internet is still a free place to express your views - good and bad - as well as screen-captures of the actual conversation that illustrates "Good Christian/Meth Head" Amber's views. Jameka never objected to any of the disgusting statements voiced by Amber, but due to her involvement she won't be interviewed either. CBS definitely took a stand and I applaud them for it. Their reason: A CBS Spokeswoman said that asking Amber or Jameka about the comments could "influence the jurors and affect the integrity of the game."
