Big Brother: ED's Attacks Are Encouraged By CBS Commentary by Cindy Rutolo Dietrich September 13, 2007
And, I am horrified. I feel like I'm the one being emotionally battered. Like I'm being eaten
alive. Like I'm the one being emotionally hated. I hope Zach won't be undone.
I guess he figured he couldn't win it any other way. Or, maybe this is
just the only way ED knows how to play.
Dirty. Disgusting. Heartlessly Cruel.
He follows no rules. Except for his own. How anyone can still see him high up on a pedestal is beyond belief.
Please.
You want reality TV? Well, this is the reality. But you probably won't find it on network TV. CBS decides on the reality that they want to show. You have your hero, CBS. You must be so proud.
Before this happened we saw the live network show. Or, more specifically
what you didn't show again on a network show.
Fifteen minutes before Tuesday night's show time I realized how tense I felt.
I realized that I was going to see again what happened after ED's race
baiting threats and plan came to fruition.
Only then I didn't get to see that. No one did.
CBS edited it out.
CBS altered reality. Gave us their own rendition of reality. Doing so,
they completely ignored a major event. It was something I'd written
about three days before in "ED and Daniele Use Race Baiting for PoV."
I wasn't looking forward to seeing, or hearing it again. But I did want
to see what the network would show. I also realized, before the show,
that I couldn't think of one single thing about the show that I wanted to see and didn't already know.
But I still wanted to see what they would show on the network show.
Because those viewers are hardly getting a complete picture.
I figured they would at least show some of ED's verbal assault. The one
that took place after Daniele's PoV win. This is when ED, ever the
ungracious winner, went banging through the house like a thundering
wind. I was sure they would at least show some of this. Because if they
didn't, many would feel more sure than ever that they've decided to
simply let their star player has his way again. I couldn't imagine
that. Yet, that is exactly what happened again.
They didn't show any of what ED said!
They edited out everything of any real consequence. Had the show hostess
allude to something ED said. But didn't show any of what he said!
Why didn't Julie ask ED what he said to Zach? Why didn't CBS give us
any of the examples of that?
I was so angry watching that show.
I know that I'm not alone. I know many feel both CBS and the Donatos have
sunk too low. Eric was just as bad. That's why I was glad to see him go.
I'd still like to ask CBS why. Why did you edit ED's remarks out of that
show? You could have beeped out the swearing. Why the white-washing lie?
It felt like a total misrepresentation of the facts. It was skewed, and
edited beyond belief.
And don't even call me a Donato hater.
I am not now, nor have I ever been an ED, or Daniele hater. I just don't
approve of their cruel comments, or harsh tactics. The Donatos
themselves seem to practically practice hate mongering, like it's a
religion. It's a horrible tactic. Yet ED often makes a conscious
decision to use it on others in the house.
Here's a sample of hate speech from ED's mouth.
