Big Brother: The Devil And CBS
Report and Commentary by Emma Brand

I don't often comment between episodes on things that come from the live feeds, in fact this is the first time, so if you don't like knowing what's going to happen prior to the episodes, I am letting you know now that there is spoiler material below.
I think after Jessica won the HoH in the last episode, we all figured that Dick and Daniele would be nominated. Shortly after that, I have been thinking that once Dick goes home, it may make the show less entertaining. And I am split as to whether that is true.
I think Dick is a true bully. If you haven't read the Big Sister commentaries, you could pull up any one of them and you would believe me, and probably think I have understated everything that Dick does. I am loving that as Ol' Dick is going off on the players he is still using the "I'd do that for a dollar" catch phrase that Eric was forced to put into the house in the first place, making Eric a richer man by the day. Hee! Irony!
Some of his antics may be in the name of strategy, and I am sure that he would tell us all that his bullying and intimidating the other houseguests is all for the purposes of furthering his own game. I can appreciate that each player has to go into the house utilizing the strengths of their own game. Dick, for whatever his faults may be, has definitely played this game.
I don't think Carol or Mike came into the house to really play. I think Zach is an example of a player who is kind of cruising along, and maybe the under the radar thing is what his strategy has had to become since the alliance that he stupidly entered on the first day has fallen completely apart and the other three are watching from various corners of the US right now. We complain and rant about Dick's behavior, but he has become one person that we talk about to the exclusion of all of the other players, and I recognize that it makes the show entertaining.
But here is why I will be glad if Dick leaves. Despite the fact that we won't be able to get righteously indignant as Christians when Dick attacks Jameka or that there will be far less, if any, actual verbal confrontations, there will be game play. Everyone will be allowed to play their own game and it won't be overshadowed by Dick's tirades.
The game play and strategy can be the subtle conversations, the dis-information campaigns to flush out leaks, the secret alliances that talk only in the bathroom or over washing dishes. In short, we can see all of the players play the game, and not shudder and hide in a corner when Dick comes raging out of his corner equipped with offensive diatribes and what I can only assume would be bad breath.
I would love to see how Dustin would play without having to worry about Dick calling him Queenie all the time. I want to see Jameka or Jessica be forced to play the game when there are less black-and-white issues to be addressed than the obvious objective of ridding the house of the Evel Twins. I want Zach to be a more obvious target and not getting to coast for week after week while the people have to worry about getting out Dick.
In the interests of talking about what is still going on in the house strategically, I don't understand why Dick and Daniele haven't jumped on Eric for trying to get Dustin nominated. Maybe they think Eric is trying to trick them into coming after someone else, but this seems to be a golden opportunity for them to get the house doubting someone else and reassume some measure of control in the game.
Instead, Dick is trying to....
