Big Brother: Jen-tard Just Wants To Have Fun
Episode 6 Recap by Jenny Lane
July 18, 2007
|
Amber and Dustin go in the weight room and Dustin gives the sobbing Amber a big hug. They're interrupted by Jen, who comes in to tell them how she wants the game played. Jen tells Amber that she doesn't want her to take out Mike, Joe or her, but to take out the nominees first. Jen says that if Amber does take out anyone but the nominees, Jen will put one of Amber's alliance up. (The PoV winner can't be nominated in place of someone that is taken off the block.) Then she says that she might put Dustin up. After Jen leaves the room, Amber starts sobbing again because of what Jen said.
Joe tells Jen that if he wins the veto, he might use it. Jen says that if he does, she'll put whoever is closest to him up. Joe says "well who am I closest to in this house" and Jen can't answer him, so her threat is useless. Joe says "there's nobody that you can put up that would directly affect me, and I'm safe, and that's all I need to worry about." For once, Jen is speechless and for once, Joe is brilliant!
In the storeroom, Nick, Daniele, Amber and Jameka are talking. Amber tells them that if she wins, she's going to use the PoV. She tells them about Jen's threat, and then starts sobbing. Daniele leaves the room to go find Jen. She says "I know what you said Jen, belittling her, you don't have to trip over your words, it doesn't matter, it sucks what you're doing to her." Daniele walks away and Jen just smiles, probably because there isn't anything that she can say. Joe jumps on the bandwagon and says "the way you were talking to me, it felt like you were threatening me." Dick says "you don't have to worry because I'm going to get it and I'm going to come after you." Jen says "cool, I love it, thank you, I love your honesty."
Mike walks in and asks what he missed. The group left tells him that Jen made Amber cry, and Mike says that he thinks that Jen was just being direct about her intentions. Joe says "I don't think anybody asked you, because I was speaking with her, but I appreciate your feedback." Joe tells Jen that it's ironic (which I'm pretty sure Jen doesn't know the meaning of) that she supposedly put them on the block for being negative, and now she's going around attacking people. Jen says she's "direct and not emotional, and I forget that people aren't like me." Jameka walks in and says that Amber is "empathetic, not emotional" and then walks out. Not emotional? Has she seen all of the sobbing?
Jen seems to have realized that she's burning too many bridges for one day, and goes to the storeroom to find Amber. She says "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that." Dick and Daniele follow her in, and Dick says "you're not sorry for anything, why don't you just leave her alone, nobody wants you here, why don't you just leave." Jen smiles a big smile, says "have a good day" and leaves the room.
Whew, that was a busy hour! The PoV players go out to the backyard, which has been turned into a winter wonderland, complete with snow and a Christmas tree! Host Dustin welcomes the players to the "Cutthroat Christmas." There are six gifts under the tree, one of which is the PoV. Whoever is the most skilled at curling (that weird sport with ice and a broom and a little round thing) could win the PoV. Each will glide the curling stone down the ice. The closer it comes to the red line drawn on the ice, the better the chance to win.
The person whose stone is the furthest away is out of the competition and can take a present. The next person who is knocked out can either choose a new present or steal the one that the first person took, and so on. The best curler gets to choose from all the gifts, including the PoV.
Jen is up first, and her stone is 12 marks away from the red line. Joe is next, and his goes 13 marks past the red line. Mike's either a champion curler or extremely lucky, as his stone lands only 1 away from the red line. Dick's lands right on the red line but then goes a little over, and lands 2 away. Daniele's lands 4 away, and Amber's is 7 away. Joe is in last place, so he goes to select a gift. He opens it, and it's a "slop pass."
Mike starts the next round, and lands 5 away from the red line. Next is Dick, who gets 17 away. Daniele gets just 1 away, and Amber gets 5 away. Jen barely even pushes hers, and lands 20 away, so not only is she the next to be eliminated, she saved Dick from being the one eliminated. When Jen goes to open up her present, Dick says "it's a…personality!"
Jen's present is an ugly red unitard.....
