Big Brother: "It's Nothing Personal" Yeah Right! Episode 21 Recap by Jenny Lane August 22, 2007
That night, Eric grabs Woobie from where he had hidden it in the corner. He goes up to Jessica who is lying in bed, and gives his speech. "You won't even believe it, ok ready, this is my childhood stuffed animal and it was named Woobie at the time, but I think it might need a new name." He says that his mom found it right before he left for the house and made him bring it because it's good luck. He talks about taking it to school his first day, and says that Jessica should hold onto Woobie because "everyone can use some good luck around here." Jessica 'oohs' and 'awwws' and thanks Eric, and seems genuinely touched. Eric tells Jessica to keep the fact that it's from him a secret, which I don't blame him for. The two of them snuggle into bed with Woobie in between them.
The next morning, Zach and Daniele are talking in the diary room. Daniele says that she feels like she's been here forever. She's tired of Dick, and she's sick of Jameka and Amber moping around. She's also sick of Jen and everything about her. Zach pretty much agrees with everything that Daniele says.
It's time to pick players for the PoV competition! Daniele says that this is a special PoV competition, because the two finalists will receive a "top secret trip out of the house!" Of course this has everyone excited and cheering. Eric tells us that he hasn't played in any PoV competitions yet, but he wants to this week because of the trip.
Daniele picks "houseguest's choice" and chooses Dick. Amber picks Jessica, and Jameka picks Zach. Poor Eric doesn't get to play, and I wonder if his ball is even in the bag. Maybe the producers don't want America's player to win the PoV? Jen tells us that it "double sucks" that she doesn't get to play, because she wanted the trip out of the house. By the way, Jen is actually dressed conservatively, in a high-necked sweater. Maybe she's trying to distract from the fact that she's got a huge cold sore brewing on her lip!
Daniele chooses Eric to host the competition, so Jen's the only one who isn't participating. The game starts in an hour, so Jameka and Amber go off to strategize. Amber's mouth is so strange when she talks, she does something really odd with her lower jaw and pushes her lower lip out. It's starting to really irritate me.
Amber is taking this "everything happens for a reason" thing a little too far. She tells Jameka that God made it so that they were both nominated so that they wouldn't have to pick each other for the PoV competition, because that would put targets on their backs. Is she implying that she thinks that people don't know that they're in an alliance? She says "I promise you that we're going to make it through this week!" Dick joins them in the kitchen and says that it sucks for them, because everyone is going to be trying to win extra hard because of the prize.
Eric tells everyone to meet him by the back door for the PoV competition. Outside there are a bunch of motorcycles set up on a platform. They're set up the way that the podiums usually are, with a flag in between each one. Everyone goes and sits on one of the motorcycles, and it's obvious that they're not going to get to ride them. Up front, Eric is standing on a stage that has a giant speedometer on it. The speedometer goes from 0 to 100, and has a blank percentage box in the middle.
Eric (using a weird low voice) says that Big Brother fans were asked their opinions about "hot topics in the house, and the results are in." There will be five heats in the competition. In each heat, they will be asked to determine what percentage of fans answered a certain way in the survey. After five heats, a champion will be crowned and will win the PoV.
While Eric is talking, most of the players are laughing, smiling and cheering. All except for Amber, who looks a little like she's concentrating really hard on the instructions, and a little like she's constipated.
The first question is "what percentage of those polled think Kail would make a good politician." Zach says 27%, Jessica says 13%, Amber says 45%, Daniele says 32%, Jameka says 45%, and Dick says 78%. Weird, Dick hated Kail but has a ridiculously high guess. The correct answer is 19%, which shows that America hates her. Dick is out of the competition because his answer was the furthest from the correct answer.
