Big Brother: Jen Doesn't Fall For Trick Question - Wins HoH
Episode 4 Recap by Logan Huffman

We now go to the Diary Room to see who we chose for Eric to evict. Eric tells us that he has been laying low, not really committing his vote either way until he found out what we wanted him to do, adding that there is really only one pro to keeping Carol in the house, and it is that she is a weak player, adding that there are thirteen sharks in the house, and only one Carol. Eric says that he wants to keep Amber, as she is a really down to earth girl, and he thinks that he could form a genuine relationship with her. Opening the envelope, Eric is happy with America's choice, as he votes to evict Carol.
Julie goes back to the living room, as it is now time for the eviction. Julie gives the nominees one last chance to address their housemates, with Amber going first. Amber says that she has had a really good time with all of them, and regardless of how the votes go, she has enjoyed meeting them all and wishes them all luck in being the last houseguests standing. She sits back down as her voice cracks and she tears up. Carol says that she will never forget this experience, and she feels honored and privileged to have met all of them through this, adding that she wants to wish them all the best of luck, both inside the house and in the real world.
Julie opens the envelope to reveal the vote, and says, "By a vote of 10-1, Carol, you have been evicted from the 'Big Brother' house." Carol says that she saw it coming, as she hugs the others goodbye. Carol is very gracious, and makes a very classy exit from the house as the others clap for her. As Carol exits, she says that she really hopes that she grabbed the right bag. Jessica wonders if she came across bad, as Daniele says that she thought Amber was leaving. The others comfort Amber after her near eviction scare. Joe says that he thinks he won the rude award during Julie's questions, but Jen says that she thinks she did. I think Jen has this one right, because even though Joe gave a rude answer, at least he answered.
Julie mentions to Carol that she said Jessica wasn't the same girl she once knew, and asks how she is different now. Carol says that she just said that and didn't really mean it, and she is very much the same person she was in high school. Julie asks her to elaborate, and while Carol really doesn't want to go there, she says that they haven't buried the hatchet, and their conversations were forced. Julie asks what the fight between them was over, and Carol says that she doesn't remember, but they were just too stubborn to ever forgive one another. Julie shows Carol the clips of Jessica when she was up in the HOH room with Dick and Dustin, as Jessica says that Carol owed her five dollars one time, and that Jessica didn't like that Carol had been talking smack about her. Carol looks surprised at that comment, and Jessica continues on about Carol's hair curled with a curling iron (because we all know what a sin that is), and Carol looks shocked at the comment when Jessica commented on the ring on Carol's finger, saying that she isn't loyal. Carol says that is exactly what she is talking about, saying that Jessica is the same as in high school, very conceited and stuck up, and she can say that now without feeling bad about it. Julie, laughing, asks Carol if she is going to pay Jessica back her five bucks. Carol says absolutely not, as it isn't worth it.
Julie goes to the goodbye messages, as Joe tells Carol that they didn't get enough time together, as he thinks she is an exceptional person, and he is really going to miss her in the game. Zach tells Carol that she has a big heart, and in this game, that is probably something you don't need right off the bat. Kail says that Carol is the one houseguest she definitely wants to keep in contact with, adding that she knows there are bright and huge things in her future that she will accomplish. Amber tells Carol that she thinks a lot of her as a person, and she is sorry she got put into the position that she was in this week, adding that she is really glad that she got to meet her, and she wishes her all of the luck in the future with her boyfriend, her family, and school. Jessica tells her that it's weird that they never made up when they were younger, and that it took a reality show to make them talk to each other, telling her good luck with school and that she hopes everything in her life goes well, and maybe they will see each other at high school reunion.
Carol gives a weird look, and Julie asks her to elaborate, as Carol says that she tried really hard to be nice, but that is just Jessica, and she will never change, so she isn't going to go there.
It's now time for the second HOH competition, as the houseguests have already taken their positions in the backyard. Julie reminds Kail that as outgoing HOH, she is ineligible to compete this week. The houseguests are playing a familiar 'Big Brother' HOH competition called Majority Rules, in which the players must answer questions giving the answer that they think the majority of the houseguests will say. If they answer in the minority, they are out, and the last person standing will become the new HOH.
Julie begins with the first question: In the "Butter Me Up" food competition, who did the majority of the house say that they would rather rub the butter off of? Choosing between Daniele and Jen, everyone says Daniele except for Zach, so he is eliminated from the competition.
Question two: Who does the majority of the house say that they would not let their little sister go out on a date with? Choosing between Nick and Mike, the majority chooses Nick, so Daniele, Dick, and Nick are all eliminated.
On to the third question.....
