Live Feed Commentary

February 14, 2008
Commentary by Jenny Lane

Day two in the Big Brother house started off slowly. Actually, the houseguests’ conversations brought to light the fact that they’ve actually been in the house for six days, so I’m not sure how that worked. One of them said that Jacob and Sharon were in the house for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so obviously last night’s show wasn’t live.

After a morning full of housework, cooking and smalltalk, the houseguests found out that today is nomination day. Amanda is wearing stretch pants and a sports bra, and is showing off her less than toned stomach for the second day, which I find odd. At one point, she puts on a pair of jeans and tells Jen that they’re a size zero, and even tells Jen to check. Jen does as instructed, and informs Amanda that they’re actually a size one.

For most of the afternoon, Jen wanders around the house, talking to whoever will listen to her about nominations. Several times, others try to steer the conversation to something else, but she won’t budge, that’s all she wants to talk about. One of the guys even says “I just don’t care anymore” which doesn’t even faze her.

Apparently Sheila promised Jen that they could call in a favor for one vote, but the two couples aren’t in an alliance. I think it might have happened when Jacob and Sharon got voted out instead of Sheila and Adam. Jen corners Sheila and tries to get her to promise to vote for Ryan and Allison over Jen and Parker. Sheila is surprised that Jen is willing to vote her boyfriend out. She tries not to make the promise, but Jen backs her into a corner and reminds her of the deal they had made. When Jen finally gets Sheila to say that she could in fact call in their deal anytime they want, Jen knows that’s a good time to drop the conversation and says “ok, that’s all I needed to hear.”

Sheila then has a conversation with Ryan about what happened with Jen. Ryan obviously wants Sheila to vote for him to stay. Allison joins the conversation and they start to hash out who said what. Apparently Allison told the group that Ryan is only there because of Allison, which the others took to mean that he doesn’t care if he gets evicted. Sheila asks Allison about that and Allison tries to backpedal and say that’s not exactly what she said. Allison tries to convince Ryan that he won’t be able to play the game until Jen gets voted out.
