Big Brother 9; Recap
Episode 2

February 13, 2008
Recap by Logan Huffman

Previously on 'Big Brother 9', 16 new Houseguests moved into the Big Brother house for our first ever winter edition. However, this game started off like no other, as we learned that Jacob and Sharon are exes who recently broke up, and Ryan and Jen are actually a couple outside of the house.

Julie revealed this season's twist to the Houseguests, and she paired them up into eight couples. Ryan and Jen's game plan was ruined as they were paired up with other people, while bitter exes Jacob and Sharon were forced to work together as a team. Meanwhile, Sheila was also angry about being paired up with Adam.

Later, the Houseguests competed in their first competition, which would win one couple the title of Power Couple, allowing them to singlehandedly evict any other couple of their choosing. After making a deal to keep Matt and Natalie safe, Jen and Parker won the competition. Who will they evict? We'll find out tonight!

We begin with a flashback of Jen and Parker winning Power Couple, as Parker tells us that they are the Power Couple like Brad and Angelina. Jen says that she was excited that they won, and she knew Ryan would be safe this week, and she could still keep their relationship a secret. Parker adds that since Sheila and Adam are at each other's throats, it would probably be best if they weren't there. Sharon tells us that Parker and Jen winning was the best scenario, as she clicked with Parker from the beginning, and she doesn't think she'll be going home anytime soon.

Adam says that he's worried that he and Sheila will be evicted, because they are fighting all of the time and disrupting the flow of the house. Adam is outside talking to Sheila, Matt, and Natalie about his job as a Public Relations Manager, telling them he works for a foundation that helps special needs kids, and that he wants to open a hair salon so all of the "retards can get their hair done together".

Sheila looks furious, telling Adam not to call them that. He says that he works with them every day, and he can call them whatever he wants. Adam doesn't think he said anything offensive, but Sheila is still in shock, telling us that she has friends and family who are affected by special needs kids, and the comment was heart-wrenching to her.

The Houseguests head inside, as Sheila tells the other girls what Adam just said. She tells them that she is creeped out by Adam. Jen looks horrified by Adam's comment, and Sheila says that she wants to cry. Jen asks her if Adam knows how much she hates him. Sheila says that he does, and she dreads having to sleep with him in a sleeping bag on the floor, telling us that it makes her physically ill.
