Beauty And The Geek 4: Ranking The Final Two Couples

This week on Beauty and the Geek, Sam and Nicole, Dave and Jasmine, and William and Jen fought it out to see who would make it to the final two and next week's finale! With only three teams left, this week's challenge was a team challenge. Each team traveled to a vineyard and had to pick 20 pounds of grapes, stomp the grapes into wine, and bottle and cork the wine. The first team to pass the finish line carrying three bottles of wine, while tied together (ala' the three legged race) won the challenge. It was barely a contest at all as Dave and Jasmine won the challenge, way ahead of the other two teams.
This meant that Sam and Nicole and William and Jen would compete in the elimination challenge answering questions about wine. In the end, Sam and Nicole answered more questions correctly and moved on to next week's finale. William and Jen were sent packing.
Nicole and Sam

This is a tough one. Jasmine and Dave seem to really have hit their stride and have proven to be a force to be reckoned with. I still feel that Nicole and Sam make the stronger team though. Sam has won 5 challenges, Dave has won three. It really depends on how the winner next week is determined, as there is sure to be a twist thrown in.
Jasmine and David
Current Ranking: 2 - Previous Ranking: 2
These two could very well win it all. At this point it's really a toss up between them and Sam and Nicole. Either team could easily win, and once again, it all comes down to how the winner is determined next week.
Jen and William
Eliminated: Week 8
Somehow Jen and William seemed to get along this week much better than before. If only they could have done so weeks ago, they might have made it to the final two. As things are, I'm glad they were eliminated this week. It just seems like too little, too late.
Shay and Joshua
Eliminated: Week 7
It wasn't lack of effort that got Shay and Joshua eliminated. They both tried their hardest in their challenges this week, but in the elimination round, it was one wrong answer that sealed their fate. I'll miss them.
Natalie and John
Eliminated: Week 6
Natalie and John were a strong team which put a huge target on their backs. They survived the elimination challenge last week, however this week there was no way they could defend themselves. Strategically it was a good move to eliminate them this week.
Erin and Jessie
Eliminated: Week 5
Erin and Jesse really did nothing wrong in this game. Their downfall this week was due to being so close to Natalie and John, and then being pitted against them in the elimination round. They seem to have worked together well as a team and also seem to have bonded with some of the other teams. Maybe too much so.
Katie and Luke
Eliminated: Week 4
Katie and Luke suffered much the same fate as Hollie and Josh a couple of weeks ago. After Luke's makeover, he seemed to become very outgoing and seemed to have "outgrown" the geek image. Therefore it seemed as if there was nothing more for them to gain from being on the show.
Rebecca and Will
Eliminated: Week 3
Rebecca and Will were doomed after last week's show. As soon as they lost a challenge, they were going to be sent to the elimination round. They did everything wrong. Will got overly confident and let it show. Rebecca participated in a showmance, which is always the kiss of death. She also let herself get so distracted that she didn't bond with the other girls, which made her even more of a target. Add to that the fact that she couldn't keep her emotions in check, and that's why they were eliminated. It's just as well, because I was really getting tired of Rebecca.
Hollie and Josh
Eliminated: Week 2
Hollie and Josh were nominated this week because she was already geeky and intelligent and he was already good looking and sweet. Will and Rebecca felt that, therefore, they had nothing more to gain from this experience. In the end, it came down to Josh's final answer in the elimination challenge which sealed their fate. I'm actually sad to see both of them go. They didn't seem to get along particularly well, however I think deep down they really did like one another.
Amanda and Tony
Eliminated: Week 1
Amanda had requested Tony for a partner, but she just couldn't pull him out of his shell. I disliked her at first, mainly because I was just too distracted by her enormous fake boobs and her life's desire to be a Playboy centerfold. Right as she was leaving, I actually warmed up to her and decided that she wasn't as bad as I had thought. Too bad it was too little too late. I wish that Tony had been able to come out of his shell, that might have saved them.
Travis is 34 and lives in Kansas City. Sadly still single, he spends way too much time in front of the television watching Lost, The Office and Big Brother to name just a few. He desperately wants to work with Pam, Jim and Dwight someday. In his spare time he listens to music, attends way too many movies and chats online with Jenny Lane.
