Biggest Loser 4: Bringing Their "Swagger" Back Episode 11 Recap by Donna Emery
November 21, 2007
This week on the Biggest Loser, the contestants got makeovers and showed off their new looks to their loved ones.
The episode began with our hostess, Alison promising us a live weigh-in with the eliminated player. Then, the scene shifted back to last week's elimination room. Alison reminded them that they'd all accomplished great things - and told them they would get a reward the next day. To prepare them for the reward she showed them all their "before" pictures. Some were shocked at what they'd looked like.
Bryan said he definitely saw some changes in himself.
Bill said that the old picture showed a "guy who didn't like himself." He admitted that he'd needed to make changes in his life.
Nicole said that looking at the picture was scary. "I never knew that I'd been that big." She said the picture made her look gross, and showed too many bulges.
Isabeau echoed Bill when she said she looked unhappy in her pictures. She said that often her boyfriend would kiss her but she wouldn't want him to because she was unhappy with herself.
All of them were very pleased with their progress, and Alison said she'd see them in the morning. She encouraged them to get some rest.
When the Black Team met with Jillian, Isabeau wondered if Jillian would be upset because she'd gone against the team's plan to keep Amy in the game and eliminate Bryan. "Are you going to kill me?" she asked.
Jillian said she wouldn't kill Isabeau, but she warned her that she'd made a mistake.
Isabeau said she'd been ready to follow the plan but then thought about it and cried. She said it felt wrong to vote to send Bryan home. She concluded by saying that she hoped that her team could learn to trust her.
Jillian continued by telling Isabeau that having Amy made them all safer. "Bryan will beat you every time, and put you below the line. Amy wouldn't have."
Isabeau already knew this was true but she had decided to follow her conscience instead of the Plan.
Meanwhile, Kim entered Bryan's room thinking that her last team member might have been eliminated. Instead of Bryan, she found only an envelope on the bed. When she didn't see Bryan, her fears seemed justified; she thought he'd been eliminated. But Bryan soon put her out of her misery and jumped out and surprised her. He laughed when she said that his "before" picture was "not him."
Bryan praised Kim and credited her with his transformation. He knew how important she is to his progress. "I have someone now whose job is to help only me. Now, I want to fight harder... til the end."
As the Black Team worked out, Bill talked to Jill about Isabeau's seeming lack of loyalty. He told Jillian that Isabeau had done what was best for herself. Jill said she'd suspected it and that she is "never wrong."
Isabeau felt the Jillian's anger as alienation. She felt it was unfair. "If Jillian keeps ignoring me I might go to Bob for training."
Everyone wondered what would happen in the morning. Julie wondered if they'd be going somewhere - and, if so, what they would eat. To help them stay on their food plans she grabbed some boxes of Nabisco's 100-calorie snacks.
When they arrived, they realized that they'd been transported to NBC studios. On the walls were plaques that told of the network's history. Finally, they stopped in front of the doorway to the set of "Days of Our Lives". Nicole was ecstatic; she was a big fan. So was Julie. When she saw the set, Julie said it was like taking a walk inside her TV.
