Biggest Loser Couples: The Department of Dumb Decisions
Rankings and Commentary by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Donna Emery

This week on the Biggest Loser, almost everyone made some disastrous decisions.
And, apparently, the Blue team is cursed. And, also apparently, Ron has been declared King. I must have missed the coronation.
When good old Mikey saved the day for both teams last week, I figured we were off to a great show. Good for Mike; congrats for breaking 100 pounds. Nobody mentioned it on the show except him, but he definitely deserves kudos for this feat.
And then came the wall-sitting and once again, Tara was a machine; getting the power to form the head-to-head match-ups. I don’t understand why she chose to sit herself out of the pairs, unless she intended to waterload – which, I must say, it looks as though she did.
But it may just have been her party habits that sentenced her to remain in the 200s for yet another week.
Don’t worry, Tara. You’ll be in “onederland” next week – with a boatload of weight lost to go with it.
Most of the Black team acted like college students on Spring Break at that spa. They definitely deserved the massages and the luxury treatment. But why not do as Tara began to do: eat some delicious broiled fish and other healthy foods? She made a great choice – but then messed it up by drinking. Helen – of all people – began the backsliding by ordering tequila shots, and then Laura and the Blue Boys joined in; Filipe whooped it up like a maniac at the table.
Everyone is entitled to a day or two of bad choices, even when you’re on a nationally televised weight loss show. So, having those Kobe beef sliders (and boy, they looked GOOD) and that chicken dish was probably not so terrible. But endless shots of tequila, and then chicken fingers and French fries?
But, somehow, that was all Jillian’s fault.
Filipe and Sione have been pouting since being yanked off Bob’s team, and have had problems accepting her as a trainer. Last week, Sione seemed to come around and even admitted Jillian kicked his butt. Sione has respectable results, to show for it.
I don’t know why Jillian didn’t work with Filipe. Considering his behavior and childish outbursts to her, it may have been his attitude and failure to accept her as a trainer that led her to ignore him. It’s not like Jillian to shun a contestant.
If Filipe was upset, it’s good he told Jillian.....
