The Biggest Loser: Fluff, Filler And A Cliff Hanger

Last night the Biggest Loser episode left us in a cliff hanger with Darrell and Mama Orange in a battle for survival. I am going to guess that Darrell is the one packing his bags, but I am very sad about this. Not that I don’t like Mama Orange, but I seriously think Darrell is a fox.
Am I in the minority on this one? I think he is one good looking man. I wonder if they ever Google themselves when they get home. If so, I hope Darrell is reading this, because he has got a fan in me. Andrea, if you’re reading this, your dad is hot.
Moving on and in keeping up with the Olympic theme I was kind of hoping there would be a temptation this week with the temptation being the contestants had to hang out with Olympian Bode Miller and not succumb to getting wasted on alcohol like he does before he skis. That would have been way better than the previous temptation, the trough of M&Ms.
I liked the shooting challenge, but the only thing that kinda bugged me was the enthusiasm of those who were in the running for immunity. Note to Ashley, you shouldn’t be too proud of yourself; you were still in the running because no one tried to take you out because you’re not a threat. You weren’t still in the hunt because of your athletic prowess, but because other people think you suck.
I was happy to see Sunshine do so well during the sliding challenge. I like her and hope her and her dad stick around for a while. They just seem so positive.
Last night I didn’t really want anyone to go home, I have finally come to a place where I am starting to like most the contestants. Mama Pink and Mama Orange seem nice, but if I had to send anyone home it probably would have been them just because they are kinda blah.
I was shocked to see Melissa gain a pound. I always thought she was throwing weigh ins before, as did almost everyone who emailed me, and I still think she threw at least the one, but maybe she does just have some crazy body that loses and gains differently, I suppose it’s possible.
Was anyone else grossed out when during her transformation segment her son called her hot? Just wondering. I guess it was sweet, but I wish he would have worded it different.
Another thing, when did Bob become an honorary member of Run D.M.C? What is he thinking with those horrible retro high tops he has been wearing to the weigh-ins? What will he do next week, where a Mercedes hood ornament? Reverend Run can pull of the look, Bob Harper can not.
I don’t really have a whole lot to say.....
