Biggest Loser Families: Husbands And Wives Vs. Parents And Children

It’s time for another season of The Biggest Loser! This season, ABC is bringing us what they’re calling the ‘families’ edition. That means that the teams are made up of either husbands and wives, or parents and children. Here are our teams:
Ed and Heba are a husband and wife team from Raleigh, North Carolina. Ed is a chef, and runs his own catering business. They hope to have children someday, but wants to get healthy before doing so. While Ed is laid back, Heba is the energetic go-getter of the team. She works as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Heba started to put on weight at age 12, but being married to Ed the chef doesn’t help. Ed and Heba’s ages aren’t listed on the website, which I find a little odd. Ed and Heba are the orange team and will be trained by Bob.
Brady and Vicky are a husband and wife team from Houma, Louisiana. Brady is 36, and is a Pharmacist. Vicky is a 37 year old Anesthetist. They married at ages 18 and 19, and they have two children. Their four year old daughter is overweight, and Brady and Vicky would like to teach her how to eat right and exercise. Brady and Vicky are the brown team and will be trained by Bob.
Adam and Stacey are a husband and wife team from Cleveland, Ohio. Adam is a 39 year old contracts manager. He has a twin brother, and says he was always known as “the heavy twin.” Stacey is a 33 year old contract pricing analyst, and her hometown is listed as Laureltown, New York. Stacey has been overweight since she was a child, and says as a busy working parent, she rarely has time for exercise. Adam and Stacey are the green team and will be trained by Bob.
Phillip and Amy are a husband and wife team from Greer, South Carolina. Phillip is a 41 year old real estate agent. He says that he is desperate to be a trim and healthy husband and father for his sons. Amy is 40, and works at a realty company with Phillip. When their youngest son was diagnosed with autism five years ago, Amy turned to food and gained 80 pounds. Phillip and Amy are the red team, and will be trained by Bob.
Jerry and Coleen are a father and daughter team from Cleveland, Ohio. Jerry is a 51 year old police sergeant. He has many health issues, due in part to the unhealthy food choices he had made during his 25 years as a police officer. Colleen is a 23 year old receptionist. She has struggled with her weight since she was a teenager, and it has been tough for her to be the only overweight child in the family. Jerry and Colleen are the yellow team and will be trained by Jillian.
Renee and Michelle are a mother and daughter team from Dallas, Texas. Renee is a 46 year old event manager. She has always struggled with her weight, even as a child. She also thinks that having five children has been hard on her body. However, her divorce is what Renee blames for the majority of her weight gain. Now remarried, she feels that her weight is a burden in her relationship. Michelle is a 26 year old whose occupation is not listed. She did however graduate high school in three years and has an aviation engineering license. Michelle is going to be a bridesmaid at her sister’s upcoming wedding, and dreads the thought of being “the other fat girl standing next to the pregnant sister.” When Renee and her first husband divorced, Michelle did not speak to Renee for over six years. They call this show the chance to make up for lost time, and Renee hopes she will be able to meet her two year old granddaughter – for the first time. Renee and Michelle are the pink team and will be trained by Jillian.
Shellay and Amy are a mother and daughter team from Royal Oak and Auburn Hills, Michigan. Shellay (yes, the correct spelling) is a 51 year old stay at home mom. She says that she is the person who you can call on if you ever need anything. Shellay would like to look for a job, but her weight has made her lose confidence in herself. Amy is 26 and works in a purchasing department of an automotive company. She also takes college courses online, and is working on her cosmetology degree. Shellay and Amy are the purple team and will be coached by Jillian.
Tom and Tom Jr. are a father and son team.....
