Dancing With The Stars: A Gyrating, Rotating, Pulsating Good Time Episode 2 Recap by Jenny Lane September 26, 2007
Last night, the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars began with the ladies. Tonight we'll see the guys dance either the Foxtrot or the Cha Cha Cha. Tomorrow, one of the couples will be sent home. As usual, our judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. Joining Tom Bergeron is guest host and former Dancing With the Stars champion, Drew Lachey.
First, here's a reminder of how the ladies did last night:
Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas - Cha Cha Cha - 26
Jane Seymour and Tony Dovolani - Foxtrot - 24
Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy - Cha Cha Cha - 24
Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts - Foxtrot - 21

Tonight we'll see the guys, and here's the lineup:
Helio Castroneves - He's a two-time Indianapolis 500 champion, native of Brazil, and gorgeous specimen of a man. He's partnered with Julianne Hough, back for her second year. She's not my favorite dancer but is the reigning champion.
Mark Cuban - Owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and successful entrepreneur. He's partnered with Kym Johnson, who returns for her third season.
Cameron Mathison - Actor and longtime castmember of "All My Children," he's also the host of a reality show on SOAPnet called "I Wanna be a Soap Star." He's partnered with Edyta Sliwinska, who is the only professional dancer who has been on all five seasons.
Floyd Mayweather - "Pretty Boy" Floyd is a professional boxer and the current RING and World Boxing Council Welterweight Champion of the World, he has a 38-0 record. He's partnered with Karina Smirnoff, back for her third season.
Wayne Newton - Known as "Mr. Las Vegas," he has performed more live shows than any other performer in Las Vegas history, and is still going strong. He's partnered with two-time champion, Cheryl Burke.
Albert Reed - He's professional eye candy, and modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch's national ad campaign. He's only 22 but has been the face of several major ad campaigns. He's partnered with Anna Trebunskaya, who returns for her second season.

After a look back on last night, Len says that the opening week has never been so good. Then we're shown an instructional piece about the correct way to dance the Cha Cha Cha and the Foxtrot.
Our first couple tonight is Cameron and Edyta, who has the most ridiculously toned body I've ever seen. When they met for the first time, Edyta said that she was happy because Cameron is a hunk. Cameron tells us that he has a degenerative bone disease and had to wear leg braces for about three years as a child. He's also still working full-time on All My Children, so adding dance rehearsals doesn't leave him much time to sleep.
Cameron and Edyta's Foxtrot is to "Moondance." He looks handsome in a relatively plain black suit. Edyta's dress is skimpy of course on top. There's really not much of a top at all - there are cutouts on the sides, it's low and revealing, and there is no back at all. In contrast, the skirt is long and full but does have a high slit, and is trimmed at the bottom with black fur.
After I stop gawking at Edyta's dress, I concentrate on their dancing. Cameron does surprisingly well, but I think he does stumble a few times. They're fun to watch and look good as a couple. Edyta does all of the difficult moves, and Cameron stops a few times and does absolutely nothing while she dances around.
Len says that it "flowed, then.....
