Hell's Kitchen: Paula Continues To Lead The Rankings
Rankings by RTVC Staff Writer Brian Sikorski
As of April 1, 2009
So with a major bullet dodged and no elimination, the chefs are breathing easy.

While unwinding, the critique of Lacey continues.

The next morning, Gordon goes through a demonstration of how to make a proper beef and scallop tartar but secretly was making tuna and seabass. The reason for the switch up is to set up the introduction of the taste test.

Gordon wants to even the teams so LA quickly volunteers to sit out. Ben and Andrea start up. Ben gets 3 and Andrea, 2. Robert and Giovanni both miss every single thing. Carol gets 3 and Lacey gets 2. Next up is Paula and Danny. Chef tells them that they have to name ingredients in a bowl of minestrone soup. Paula takes the win when Danny trips up.

The red team get a feature on the cover of TV Guide while the blue team has to prep for dinner service in both kitchens with also serving lunch and refreshments to the red team. While prepping for dinner, Lacey's laziness is driving the rest of the team crazy. Lacey is on the meat station which means this will be an interesting service.

Also adding to the drama is the arrival of celebrities Eric McCormick and Robert Patrick. Ben is asked to help Robert get some apps out. Paula gets some slack for her risotto. The order for the VIP tables comes in and Danny makes mention that he treats every table like VIPs.

Lacey starts to crash and Danny starts to help her. Gorgon asks how long and she looses it and Gordon finally kicks her out and gives her a screaming. Ben jumps over to help Lacey while Robert is cranking out the apps to a very quick pace, resulting in torn pants. Carol isn't communicating with Andrea which results in Andrea overcooking the Dory. Lacey again crashes and is FINALLY sent home.

The blue team is very behind and they begin to rally together. Carol continues to struggle on the meat station which is killing the rest of the teams timing. The blue team is getting out the last check as Carol on the red team has lost a chicken that Gordon is looking for.

The red team struggled with the service with their five members while the blue team is praised for great teamwork. The red team can't come to a consensus and Gordon doesn't like it.

He calls on Paula to make the nominations. She nominates, LA and Carol. Gordon asks who the other option was and Carol says it was Andrea. Ramsay calls all three to the front and asks Andrea to tell him where she ranked out of ten.

Andrea said she was a six and blamed Carol for her overcooked food. Carol says she would send Andrea home because LA doesn't make excuses.

LA is sent home and Ramsay sends them home.

Paula
Current Ranking: 1         Previous Ranking: 1
Had a little stumbling blocks but still held on.

Robert
Current Ranking: 2         Previous Ranking: 2
Really picked up the pace and did a great job despite the early stumble.

Giovanni
Current Ranking: 3         Previous Ranking: 3
He and Paula are the most stable of the red team and he needs to hold on to that position if he wants to make it to the black team

Danny
Current Ranking: 4         Previous Ranking: 5
He has come a long way from the beginning of the show. He did a great job working with the rest of the team and helped secure the blue team win.

Ben
Current Ranking: 5         Previous Ranking: 8
His teamwork is starting to show through more and more. I still don't think he can hold on to the finals but I think he can surpass the war between Andrea and Carol.

Andrea
Current Ranking: 6         Previous Ranking: 4
She is focusing too much on Carol's performance than her own.

Carol
Current Ranking: 7         Previous Ranking: 7
If she can stay out of the meat station or anything else that would cause her to be focused on by Ramsay, she would have a shot in not being eliminated but I don't think she can.

Alicia
Current Ranking: Eliminated
I was a bit surprised by this. I do agree that her motivation doesn't show and it she is perceived to be uncaring.

Lacey
Current Ranking: Eliminated (Finally)
I have nothing to say except. Finally.

J
Eliminated
He was kicked out DURING SERVICE! That's something special.

Coi
Eliminated
No real sense of urgency was a major issue for Coi. She forgot to put food on and then would try to cut corners to get by easier. First the pasta and then the burgers.

Colleen
Eliminated
After 5 episodes, she still hadn't shown her skills and ability to handle it.

Seth
Current Ranking: Eliminated
Saw this one coming. Slow, nasty and didn't really have a grip on things.

Charlie
Current Ranking: Eliminated
Struggling on the appetizer station. Struggling in the front of house. Spilling bacon all over a table and its diners. Worst waiter. Nominated to go. He deserved it.

Ji
Current Ranking: Eliminated due to injury.
Injured, she still worked hard and didn’t give up. If it wasn’t for the injury, I think she would still be at the top.

Wil
Current Ranking: Eliminated
He couldn’t cut it on the garnish station and no matter how much his teammates helped, he still didn’t make it.
