Hell's Kitchen: Gordon Is Closing Down Hell's Kitchen

On this week's 5-alarm episode of Hell's Kitchen, we see the chefs are still shocked by Ramsays surprise elimination.
The next morning, Paula points out Andrea when Gordon asks the weakest Red chef and Danny point out Ben in the Blue team. Gordon asks Ben and Andrea to step forward and the lights in the restaurant dim. Both of them plead their cases and Gordon asks both of them to take off their jackets. He then adds that they made it to the final black team.
The first individual challenge is to take 14 simple ingredients and create a dish in 30 minutes. The winner would be taken on a culinary tour of San Francisco. Andreas dish was lacking enough chicken while Giovanni's dish was fell received. Paula's dish was also delicious while Roberts chicken breasts were a little dry. Danny's dish was "very nice" and Ben was praised for cooking the drum of the chicken. Ben and Danny's dishes were pulled as the top two and then after a dramatic commercial break, Ben takes the win.
Gordon gives Ben the opportunity to take someone with him. He doesn't skip a beat and selects Robert which makes Danny a little more than mad. Robert admits that he has feelings for Ben after being selected to accompany him on the trip, admittedly, "nothing gay", but feelings non the less.
In Hell's Kitchen, Giovanni is dropping and breaking some of the deliveries coming in and becoming more and more frustrated. As a result, he is disappearing more and more. While Danny is checking in the seafood delivery, the rest of the team notices they were short lobsters. Giovanni flags down the delivery guy and tells him they are short.
A few minutes later, they later realize they were fine and not short and Giovanni goes back into the kitchen. The next morning, the chefs start early and start prepping for the first single kitchen service in Hell's Kitchen. Service starts and Robert is overcooking scallops. Andrea is also trying to start potatoes ahead and starts to lose focus. Paula is praised for her salads and risotto.
Ramsay realizes that Andrea doesn't know what she is doing and sends her out of the kitchen and out the front door. On her way out, Jean Phillipe gives her a pep talk and tells her to go back and fight. Giovanni is not cooking Ben's chicken special well enough and is called a "f&%k face" which angers Giovanni. Ben is called to the meat station to help but runs into trouble as well.
Gordon is frustrated with Robert, Andrea and Giovanni and makes sure to tell them. Giovanni puts a hot pan in the cooler to "cool it off" resulting in Robert getting second degree burns on his hands when he grabs it. With pans on fire and every station crashing and literally burning, Gordon walks off and shuts the restaurant down. He praises Paula for her performance and is charged with selecting "two idiots for elimination".
Paula claims that she can lead the kitchen and back in front of Ramsay, selects Giovanni and Andrea. The two of them are called forward and are asked why they should stay. Gordon selects Giovanni to go home "for all the right reasons".
He sends Andrea back in line but not before he gives her a little more of a smackdown.
At 2am, Ben receives a call from Ramsay telling everyone to get back in the kitchen. He says he has been in his office for the last hour contemplating how the final six could have had such a bad performance and also says he is doing something he has never done before.
Gordon says he is shutting down Hell's Kitchen.

More and more I see Danny working hard and keeping focus. I don't think he has the experience to take the win, but I think he has a solid chance in turning a doorknob in the finals.

Still think this cat is all talk. Way too much talk.

I am still amazed at how far she has fallen. I honestly thought she could do it but I guess she too was all talk.

Seemed to be having a really bad day. I really expected Giovanni to go much further than he had.

As expected, she was kicked to the curb for being all talk.

I was a bit surprised by this. I do agree that her motivation doesn't show and it she is perceived to be uncaring.

No real sense of urgency was a major issue for Coi. She forgot to put food on and then would try to cut corners to get by easier. First the pasta and then the burgers.

After 5 episodes, she still hadn't shown her skills and ability to handle it.

Saw this one coming. Slow, nasty and didn't really have a grip on things.

Struggling on the appetizer station. Struggling in the front of house. Spilling bacon all over a table and its diners. Worst waiter. Nominated to go. He deserved it.

Injured, she still worked hard and didn’t give up. If it wasn’t for the injury, I think she would still be at the top.
Wil

He couldn’t cut it on the garnish station and no matter how much his teammates helped, he still didn’t make it.
