Who Want's To Be A Superhero - Reality TV Or Altered Ego?

The kooky and the creepy as well as the true-hearted have been sought out in a current set of auditions held in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio and St. Louis.
Last season's Second Runner-up, Major Victory, must have a better agent (and hairdresser) than runner-up Big Momma or winner, Feedback (aka Matthew Atherton). It's Major Victory (Chris Watters) who's yackity-yacking all over the SciFi Channel website in promoting Who Wants to be a Superhero 2. This second installment of the Sci Fi Channel original series, which is its only Reality TV competition-style series, is highly anticipated by some (especially my seven-year old).
So far, from the website graphics in the main SciFi Channel page header, the main contenders look fairly scary. Angular faces, strangely symmetrically oval faces, and wigged-out faces, but certainly Stan Lee will be there to counsel us. It is not outer appearance, but what burns inside these contestants that make it worth our time to watch each Thursday 9/8pm Central Time. And as Stan the Man would (and will) say, "Excelsior!"

Many of the contestants from last season created a My Space presence during the run of the show last August. So, many of the winner's friends are those superheroes, many wanna-be superheroes, and many, many are simply mild-mannered admirers, neighbors and friends.
I suggest you view the audition tape that's part of Matt's main My Space video - it was not part of the material that was aired. And it documents the level at which Matt Atherton really took on a totally Marvel persona both while in college and after. The angst of Matt losing his father at a young age, and clinging to Stan Lee as a father figure was documented in several episodes for the television show. It was played up, and how could Stan Lee, the ultimate judge in the nine-week elimination contest, resist? Along with his comedienne wife, Sarah Blevin, Matt was supposed to get a trip to Universal Studios Orlando, plus he was to be part of a SciFi Channel movie and a comic book written by Stan Lee and featuring the character, Feedback. The comic book was not out last October, as scheduled. It seems it was only released a few days ago. And no talk about the movie seems available.
And as an introduction to the new heroes and what perils await them, I'll list their (5 female/5 male) hero names:

The Defuser
HyperStrike
Mindset
Mr. Mitzvah
Parthenon
I offer this insight. One of the women contestants' hero name is "Basura!?" Do they think we don't have access to a Spanish-English dictionary? The woman's hero name is Trash (or worse). Characteristically, it can't be worse than Cel Phone Girl or Monkey Woman.
Yet, it'll be interesting, as it was last season, to see how they work together (or don't). Ms. Limelight, & Mr. Mitzvah could make schein music together, perhaps? The TV-viewing world will find out tonight.
