Stimpy’s Thoughts
Well, will the third time be the charm for the lovely Ms. Kimmel? Somehow I doubt it. I admit when I first saw her bio for the China season, I was sooo-premely impressed and thought the girl had the tools to do it all, and damned if she didn’t seem like she was on her way.
Until that horrible bed-shitting of a Final Tribal Council.
But, she was so impressive up to that point, they brought her right back for the Fans vs. Faves season, and with one season under her belt what was the result?
She was even shittier.
Actually she did much of the same thing she did in Micronesia, in that she got into a dominant alliance, but yielded much of the power to someone else; Todd in China, and The Dipshit Ozzy™ in Micronesia.
It wasn’t till Parvati and her Witches Coven alliance turfed The Dipshit Ozzy™, that Amanda started to play again. She even found herself a hidden immunity idol when it looked like her time was up. Although, if it wasn’t for Parvati’s help, she might never have found it period.
But, Amanda got herself to the finals again, and once again, she shit the bed and lost it all, when it should have been hers for the taking.
Now, credit to the girl, she does seem to realize what her previous mistakes were, and vows not to repeat them again.
She plans on playing more aggressively and when/if she makes it to the finals, she’s going to take credit for everything she’s done and not apologize as much, or come off as such a dishrag.
Problem is, I dunno if it’ll happen.
Yeah, she seems driven enough, but one look at her bio for the upcoming season will tell you all you need to know; the Survivor she admires the most is James (y’know the guy who got booted with two Hidden Immunity Idols in his bag?), and the Survivor she respects the least is Richard Hatch.
Sigh.
Amanda also realizes that with all these repeat players, it’s likely to be way more cut-throat this time out, and recognizes that in the past, she got too caught up in the human aspect of things (ya think?).
I dunno if she’s got the chops to avoid getting caught up in stuff again, nor to be as cut-throat as some of the others might be.
She may (and I stress MAY) have a ready-made alliance with James going into this thing, but let’s face it folks; I love James (in a manly way, mind you), but he’s not a superior Survivor strategist or anything. He may provide a good shield to hide behind for awhile, but other than that, and blind loyalty, he doesn’t bring too much else to the table.
Amanda may also have an ‘in’ with Cirie, but I dunno about that either. Keep in mind that Amanda dumped Cirie at the end of their season together AND then topped it off by saying Parvati deserved to be in the finals more than Cirie did.
Also, Cirie ain’t stupid, and she won’t hesitate to turn on Amanda if it’s in her best interests. I doubt the reverse is true.
Amanda may get into another dominant alliance, and may even make it past the merge. But I doubt anyone will be stupid enough to give her one more kick at the can in the finals, thus her only way of getting there is to get herself there.
And I just don’t think she’s got it in her. She may surprise, and I kinda hope she proves me wrong, but I doubt anything will be stopping me from saying ‘told ya so’, when her torch gets snuffed.
