Stimpy’s Thoughts
Man, we’re not even half-way through the heroes and already I’ve come across another one I can’t stand.
Yeah, you read that right. I don’t like Colby. Never have, and can pretty much guarantee that I never will.
He was SUCH an arrogant prick during Australia, that I LOVED it when he fubared it and took Tina to the finals instead of Keith and ended up losing for it.
Toss in the fact that during All-Stars, he declared Hatch a ‘cancer’ before they voted him out. Needless to say I was happy as a clam when Colby got booted shortly thereafter.
Here’s the thing. I have no clue why, but Colby was hugely popular after Australia. Check that, I do know why.
Women like the sight of the guy.
I can handle that.
But if that’s all that gets the guy on the show, don’t expect him to stick around too long.
Even though he’s older now, I betcha one thing still remains: Colby doesn’t suffer those he considers to be fools, lightly.
In other words, he plays the game more emotionally than smartly or strategically.
Need proof? Who did he take to the finals in Australia?
Need further proof? He was so adamant about dumping Jerri that same season, that he didn’t even take into account what would have happened if those in the minority roped Amber in after that. Yeah, it would’ve been goodbye to Colby, Tina and Keith in rapid succession.
Stimpy’s Survivor Primer
Rule of thumb: In this game, when you have the numbers, you keep the numbers. Even if one of your numbers is driving you to thoughts of suicide or homicide, you keep the damn numbers. Once the numbers are clearly in your favor, then you can start jettisoning those who drive you nuts. Not before.
Like I said, Colby may be older, but I still see the same guy (and the women of the world say YAY!), and doubt he can do much of anything in the strategy department.
That being said, I can see Colby getting into a solid alliance early on that could carry him far, maybe even past the merge.
And we all remember what an immunity run he went on back in Australia after that, don’t we?
Problem is, this ain’t Australia.
Colby may make the merge and the jury, but I doubt he’s gonna get to the end, and I doubt he could win even if he got there.
