Previously
on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, Parvati, Danielle and Russell
continued to dominate the game.
They
convinced Jerri and Sandra to vote with them, and successfully
eliminated out hero after hero.
Little
did Russell know that Sandra was secretly plotting against him, and
she had also found a hidden immunity idol of her own.
When
Rupert lost the immunity challenge, it seemed that his demise was
imminent.
Then
Parvati and Danielle’s allegiance to each other came to
Rupert’s rescue. Russell decided that the girls were too
close, and set out to break them up.
At
tribal council, Danielle even talked about how close she was to
Parvati, which sealed her fate. Russell had his way, Danielle was
voted out, and Parvati lost her closest ally.
We
rejoin the tribe on night 33, following tribal council. Parvati is
confused, and says she thought Rupert was going home. Rupert is of
course celebrating the fact that he was able to survive. Jerri tells
Parvati that Russell told her to vote out Danielle, or she would be
next. Parvati tells her that Russell always uses scare tactics.
Parvati
tells us that now she has lost trust in Russell, but she needs to
stay on his good side until after Colby and Rupert are gone. Russell
tells us that it was when Danielle talked about how close she and
Parvati were (at tribal council), that was when he decided to vote
her out. Parvati tells Russell that she’s worried she’ll
be the next to go. Russell tells us that her being worried about
that makes him think that she and Danielle really were too close.
The
next morning, treemail is accompanied by a box marked “open
now.” Inside the box is a phone, which is greeted by cheers
from all. After they mention several times that the phone is a Palm,
they open a treemail text message. It says “now you will have
to be a leader, your moves trusted, your actions bold, be dependable
and optimistic, for an awesome treat that never gets old – want
to know more, check your memos.”
After
they talk about how awesome the Palm Pre is, and how it has all sorts
of amazing applications, they find their treemail memos. They’re
videos from family members, who say that they’re on the island
and will be taking part in the upcoming challenge.
The
challenge is set up on the beach. Jeff tells them that part of
today’s reward is spending time with their loved ones.
Parvati’s dad comes out first, and gives her a big hug. Then
we meet Jerri’s sister, here from Germany. Russell’s
wife comes out, and they both tear up. Colby’s brother is
next, who looks an awful lot like Colby. Rupert is crying before his
wife even comes out. They kiss, and she tells him “oh my God,
you’re so skinny!” She wishes him happy anniversary, and
he says “twelve years…it feels like twelve months,
twelve days.”
I don’t know if I should cry or gag.....
