Mike Chiesl
Stimpy's Take:
And here’s one for the women to keep an eye on.
And enjoy him while he’s out there ladies, ‘cause I ain’t getting good vibes here.
Now, in truth, I dunno if Mike’s gonna be in any immediate danger.
Let’s face it, he’s a fucking Adonis, and he’s ex-military.
Unless he’s a total thud-fuck in challenges, I don’t see him going out the door unless he tries to mark someone else’s territory.
Oh, yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Rob and The Dick™ are gonna be out there, aren’t they?
Putting that aside for a moment, let’s get down to the meat of things here.
While I appreciate Mike’s military background and how it can suit him in this game, not only in challenges, and basic survival shit, but in the fact that in the military - as Mike himself put it - you see the best and worst of people, and have to be able to deal with that.
So, what’s not to like, Stimpy, you ask?
The guy compares himself to Rudy. RUDY!!!!!
And why? Oh, because Mike says nobody was intimidated by Rudy and thus he was able to tough it out and make it to the final three.
Dude? The reason no one was intimidated by Rudy was because he was born two years after Moses.
You were.
Anyone with a modicum of game sense will take one look at Mike and think to themselves ‘I GOTS to get this guy outta here’.
Oh yeah, another reason Rudy did so well was because he was in the only alliance of the first season, and thus that helped him endure.
If Mike thinks he can get into one four-person alliance and ride it to the end, he’s got another thing coming.
That’s why I’ve got misgivings about the guy.
I mean, there’s nuthin’ to DISLIKE here. He’s got the tools, and he’s got some of the talent to do really well.
But I dunno if that ‘killer instinct’ is there. Y’know? The one that will allow him to make moves and possibly backstab people because it’s in his best interests to do so?
Yeah, that one.
Mike seems like a great guy.
Problem is, great guys don’t always succeed at this game.
There are times you’ve gotta be an asshole.
Granted, not as overt as say The Dick™ goes about it, but you still might have to do it.
Personally, I dunno why people are averse to it. I’ve been one myself for years. The hours are good, and there’s no heavy lifting involved.
Someone else who’s an asshole, is Russell the Dick™. And he’s a major one, and also one that Mike also happens to be in the ‘I don’t like that guy because he’s an asshole’ club.
But it remains to be seen if Mike has it within him to be an asshole if needs be.
Personally, I’m thinking no.
It’s a shame too. If ‘nice guy’ could get all the way to the end without being an asshole and still win (and imagine if he did it in the finals against Rob and The Dick™?), well then it might lead CBS to stop casting characters, and just letting people apply and play the game, and let it unfold as it should.
Anyhoo, I see Mike on the jury at best.
And, I hate to burst yer bubble ladies, but he could even go earlier than that, if some people are REALLY spooked by letting him get to the merge and potentially going on an immunity run.
Lord knows, if I was out there, I’d be thinking of gunning him before the merge.
Remember: I’m an asshole.
Sorry ladies. And, sorry Mike, but no million for you. Come back, one year!
Probably no chance of that though. He seems like too nice a guy to be the kinda ‘character’ CBS would want back.
