Recap by Jenny Lane

Last week on Survivor, the 18 survivors were dumped in Gabon wearing only their street clothes. Jeff had the survivors introduce themselves, and then had Bob and Gillian (the two oldest) start choosing tribes:
Fang (red):
Gillian, the retired nurse
Crystal, the former Olympic runner
Susie, the hairdresser and mom
Matty, the personal trainer
Randy, the older guy wearing the Hawaiian shirt
Dan, an adorable attorney
GC, the African American maintenance guy
Ken, the Asian professional video game player
Michelle, the super skinny girl with brown hair
Kota (yellow):
Bob, the physics teacher
Ace, the bald guy with the British accent and huge attitude
Sugar, an actress/model/waitress/’pinup’ girl
Marcus, the doctor with GQ good looks
Charlie, the lawyer and the only gay guy
Paloma, the one with dark hair and exotic looks
Kelly, blonde, athletic, and very cute
Jacquie, also blonde, athletic, and very cute
Corinne, who stands out with her frizzy dark hair
The two tribes immediately had to face their first challenge, which involved running up a huge hill. Marcus and Michelle were the first to finish for their tribes, and they both won individual immunity. Kota as a tribe made it to the end way before Fang, so they won a big bag of extra food.
The two tribes then settled into their new camps. At Kota, Bob took charge right away and demonstrated his building skills. Fixing the rundown huts didn’t prove to be enough of a challenge for Bob, so he then crafted quite an impressive park bench! Charlie developed an instant crush on Marcus, who dealt with the attention quite gracefully, leading them to form an alliance right away.
Fong had a harder time meshing as a tribe, and Gillian’s constant pep talks irritated several people. Ken and Michelle bonded immediately and formed an alliance. To everyone else, Michelle proved to be a whiner and a complainer. Randy ran into a tree and gashed his head open, which brought the medics to camp to administer a few stitches.
The next challenge involved belting six people from each tribe together. Then they had to run through obstacles, collecting puzzle pieces along the way. At the end, the non-runners had to put the puzzle together. Kota dominated the challenge and won immunity and fire for their tribe.
At the first tribal council, Jeff forced Fang to declare a leader. Nobody wanted to volunteer, so GC was kind of nominated by the others. He accepted the new title, but wasn’t happy about it at all. When Jeff read the votes, Michelle became the first person voted out.
At Kota, Charlie’s crush on Marcus continued to grow, and they added Jacquie and Corinne to their alliance. The four then decide to add Bob as their fifth alliance member.
At Fang, GC took charge, but not surprisingly, ruffled a few feathers along the way. After a few days of being the leader, he announced to the tribe that he never wanted to be the leader in the first place, and stripped himself of his title.
The next challenge involved rolling huge boulders through a field. This time, Fang did a better job of keeping up with Kota. It wasn’t enough though, and Kota won their third challenge in a row. Kota won immunity, fishing supplies, and chose to send Dan (from Fang) to exile island.
On exile island, Dan was outsmarted by the clue and was unable to find the hidden immunity idol. When he returned to camp, his tribemates didn’t believe that he didn’t find the idol, and contemplated voting him out.
At the second tribal council, Fang decided that they needed Dan’s physical strength, and voted out Gillian.
Tonight we begin at Fang’s camp after tribal council, on night six. Everyone sits around the fire and seems happy with their decision to vote out Gillian. Randy says that his tribe is full of complete idiots, and they don’t realize how stupid they are.
On day seven at Fang, they see that they’ve.....
