Survivor Gabon: Legless Chickens Versus Sleek Weasels

Previously on Survivor, Kota emerged as the dominant tribe, winning the first three challenges. Fang was sent to tribal council twice, and lost Michelle and Gillian.
At Kota, the alliance of Charlie, Marcus, Jacquie and Corinne approached Bob to join their group, which would give them the majority vote. Ace and Sugar formed a tight alliance of two, and made no secret of that fact to the rest of the tribe. Ace continued to rub Paloma and some of the other girls the wrong way, as he took control of most situations and protected Sugar whenever given the chance. At Fang, GC and Randy continued to butt heads over how to run the camp.
The reward challenge was completely strength, and involved pulling people off poles and dragging them through dirt. Kota chose to sit their strongest girls out, saving them for the immunity challenge. That may have been part of why they were able to be dominated by Fang, who was led to victory by a very strong Crystal.
Sugar was sent to exile island, and did surprisingly well with the clues. She was able to find the hidden immunity idol, but chose not to tell the rest of the tribe. She did however tell Ace right away, and they vowed to use the idol to help them get to the end together.
The immunity challenge consisted of a huge slip n slide, and a math puzzle. The challenge came down to the math puzzle, and it was up to Bob and Ken. Surprisingly (to me), Ken was able to solve the math problem before Bob, winning immunity for Fang.
Ace and Sugar’s alliance continued to irritate other members of Kota. Despite talk to vote out both Sugar and Ace, in the end, Paloma was the one that Kota chose to send home. The vote was unanimous, except for Paloma and her ally Kelly. We’ll see if Kelly’s dissenting vote comes into play, now that Paloma is gone.
This week begins on day nine at Kota, after tribal council. Kelly tells us that she is worried about being on the chopping block, now that Paloma is gone. She says that she doesn’t like Ace, and hopes he goes soon. Ace tells us that tribal was very unpleasant, and says it’s right up there with having his wisdom teeth pulled.
Talking around the campfire, Ace mentions that he was surprised by Kelly’s vote against him. He says he didn’t realize that she had that much animosity towards him. Kelly meanwhile is walking by herself, and is not sitting with the campfire group.
The next morning at Fang, Ken wants to cook some rice, but Randy says they can’t, because over half of their rice is gone already. Ken says they should go ahead and cook some, and ration it out tomorrow. Randy insists that they should only cook one meal a day. Ken insists that they “have enough,” which seems ridiculous. Randy says that he’s going to give his opinion and then shut up, which I’ll believe when I see. He says that they need to just eat one meal a day, and they’ll have to be hungry, and “that’s why it’s called Survivor, period.”
Randy tells us that he knows “Crystal, Kenny and GC are not with it, they have not listened to a word I’ve said since I’ve been here.” He says that Matty, Susie and Dan are not his allies, but they are his friends, and he’s not sure “how to play it right now.”
Randy, Susie, Matty and Dan go out.....
