This 22 year-old woman describes herself as funny, outgoing and flirty, with an emphasis on flirty. Ashley once moved to San Diego for a relationship that did not work out, but now this bubbly former competitive cheerleader plans to use her flirty ways to endear herself to and at the same time manipulate the male castaways. Not only relying on her womanly wiles, Ashley feels that her strong determination will get her far in the game. She claims that she usually gets whatever she wants as long as she puts her heart and mind to it.
In her spare time, Ashley loves kickboxing, watching movies, and shopping. She describes her perfect day as sleeping in followed by working out and shopping, then ending her day with a nice dinner and a movie. During her time away from home, she will miss her mother, whom she describes as her best friend. She will also miss her favorite comfort item, which is her pillow.
Ashley works in a very competitive commission based sales job where she can sell almost anything. She has no qualms about selling items that she hates as long as it helps her reach her quota. She hopes that her “get it done” attitude will win her the title of Sole Survivor. Her first purchase, should she take home the grand prize, would be a condo or new house.
Currently, Ashley resides in Maple Grove, Minn. Her birth date is February 27th.
Stimpy’s Thoughts:
Okay, so right outta the gate we have a hottie who wants to use flirting as a strategy.
Unfortunately, that’s only worked once before, and that was during Parvati’s second go-around. And, the reason it worked that time is because all the men were dumber than a sack of hammers, particularly Ozzy. (Nope, I’m not gonna let it go folks).
Anyhoo, using Parvati as an example, she tried to use her flirtatious ways during the Cook Islands, and while it did benefit her within her alliance, Yul saw right through it and decided she needed to go before Adumb, which should be taken as a compliment.
Now, while I get some good vibes from Ashley – in that she seems in good shape, and seems competitive – there’s also a few red-flags that are cause for concern.
Namely, the idea of using flirting as a strategy. It doesn’t always work.
Also, add in to it her ‘perfect day’ consists of sleeping in, working out and shopping followed by a nice meal. Trust me sweetheart, you ain’t gonna get that on Survivor. Toss in the fact that if you do happen to sleep in too much whilst out there, it can get you targeted for being lazy.
Also, twenty-two seems kinda young-ish. And no, it’s not just because I’m damn near old enough to be her father. This show has never been too kind to younger individuals (JT notwithstanding last season, and that was a bit of an aberration), usually due to the lack of experience. Just sayin’.
Right now, I’m not too sure where to place her. I’d like to say she’s probably going to make the merge and probably the jury, but until we’ve analyzed the rest of the cast, I can’t make any definitive statements just yet.
