Greetings Survivor Samoa fans. You are in for a treat.
Why? Well because you get a double-dose of me this week, as I’m filling in on the recaps for Jenny, and I’ll still be doing my usual snarkfest piece as well.
I’ll pause to let you soak in the moment.
Okay, so this being the recap, you’re going to get all the content, and none of the wise-ass comments that usually show up. Those will come in a separate piece. And you can find it linked at the end of this piece.
I admit, it’s gonna be tough, but I’ll manage somehow.
So, episode 3 is in the books. Let’s see what happened shall we?
Previously on Survivor Samoa there were two tribes, one - Galu - was going the right direction, and one not, namely Foa Foa.
Shannon had some troubles fitting in at Galu, while over at Foa Foa, there was an attempt to boot Ben, but Russell nipped that in the bud, because he wanted Betsy gone. And what Russell wants, Russell gets.
Must. Not. Comment.
So, we join Foa Foa the next day where Jaison and Mick have a chat. Jaison states unequivocally that Ben should be the next target. Jaison observes that while Ben may be a physical asset to Foa Foa, he’s a ‘mental plague on their tribe’.
Next up, Russell chats with Natalie and he asks her who she’d like to see gone next, and as a response, he gets a blank look.
Privately Russell lets us know that no one else on Foa Foa is playing the game except for him. Russell thinks this group of Survivors might be the worst ever, but he’s probably the best ever. He also rambles on about how he’s got the whole tribe doing his bidding, as he leads them along like zombies.
Next up, we see Ben and Mick around the fire, where Ben is demonstrating the proper way to start a fire.
Privately, Ben mentions that they’re running low on flint, and that without him the tribe would probably starve, since no one else can start a fire.
As we see shots of Mick trying to get a fire going, Ben continues that Mick isn’t as much of an outdoor person as he is, and thus can’t possibly survive without Ben there. Then, Ben says everyone else on Foa Foa are ‘pansies’.
Ben then proceeds to run down both Mick and the women to Mick and one of the women, namely Liz.
He flat out tells her that.....
