Survivor Samoa: You’re Getting Really Good At Blindsides
Recap by RTVC Staff Writer Jenny Lane

Foa Foa can’t figure out the color pattern, but Galu seems to be making some progress. Frustrated and apparently still exhausted, Jaison checks out and just stands off to the side. Jeff mentions that there might be gaps in the puzzle, and “every inch might not be filled.” Liz thinks she has caught on to the pattern, but Galu still seems to be in the lead. Galu finishes their puzzle, and wins immunity.
At Foa Foa, let the scheming begin. Russell says he wanted to get rid of Liz, but Jaison couldn’t finish the challenge. Liz talks to Jaison about how it feels to lose all the time. Jaison says he’s embarrassed, and Liz says she doesn’t know why they always lose their lead. Jaison tells us that he knows he didn’t perform well at the challenge, and so he could be the one voted out.
The two adversaries have become new BFF’s, and Liz and Russell are walking on the beach. Russell says the vote could be for Natalie or Jaison. He makes a case for Jaison going, because of his performance at the challenge. Then he says he doesn’t want to be seen talking to her for too long, and heads back to camp.
At tribal council, Natalie talks about how their tribe is still staying positive. Russell says they can just hope for the merge, because “them kids over there, there’s no way in hell they can outwit me.” Liz and Mick both say they trust their tribemates completely. Russell says it’s hard to vote someone out, but if they can keep their remaining four together, “the whole thing’s gonna change.” Jaison says he’s frustrated about losing, and feels he has a large responsibility for the losses.
It’s time for the vote. We see Liz vote for Jaison, and Jaison vote for Liz. Jeff reads the votes, and the first one is for Jaison. The next vote is for Liz, so those are the two that we saw. The next vote is for Liz, followed by another one for Liz, so she’s out.
Jeff says “well, you haven’t been very successful at challenges, but you’re getting really good at blindsides.”
Next time on Survivor Samoa, the merge happens, and it looks like the next tribal council is going to be a good one.
Liz says she was surprised by the vote, but she hopes they make it to the end.
