He did it AGAIN!
Previously on Survivor Samoa, the former Galu tribe had an overwhelming numbers advantage to the former Foa Foa tribe.
Galu planned to pick off Foa Foa, who vowed not to go down without a fight. The Foa-ins managed to convinced the Galuvians to take out Erik, one of their own. At the next tribal council, the Galuanites planned to send Russell packing.
Russell had a trick up his sleeve, in the form of his second hidden immunity idol. Because of his idol, Kelly joined the jury, and Galu’s advantage decreased once more.
This week, we rejoin Aiga on night 24. Russell proclaims “my work is done, it’s like a painting, like a Picasso, this might be one of my best pieces of work I’ve ever done, they’ll write me a check for a million dollars for this piece of work.”
Dave tells Russell and Jaison “good move,” and Russell says “that was almost as great as my kids being born.” Meanwhile, the girls are pissed. Laura says “I cannot believe that, the little snake.” One of the other girls says that it’s part of the game, and Laura says “yes, we’ve still got the numbers.” Laura tells us that they knew Russell was sneaky, and they should have known better (yes, they should have).
Shambo tells Russell that on her way out, Kelly said “he has ruined everything,” and they laugh. Shambo laughs as she tells us how mad Laura was at tribal council. She says she wants to find the immunity idol, and give it to Russell again.
The next morning, Russell is on the prowl early. He hunts for the hidden immunity idol around camp while everyone else is still asleep. After the others get up, Monica and Laura talk about how Laura has won the last two immunity challenges.
Shambo says “Laura is the head viper, she is the viper queen of Galu, she is the snake of the tribe, she is the evil demon, she is the beast.” She says she wants to bring John over to the other side, so that they have six. The two go to get water, and Shambo approaches him about switching sides. She asks him if he will vote to send Laura packing, and John says “I don’t have an answer to that.” John tells us that he thinks he’s the only person in Galu to know that Shambo has flipped, and he’s not sure what he’s going to do with that information.
It’s challenge time, and it looks like the Survivor machine has cleared out a good portion of lush green vegetation. In the clearing, there are two large squares, one yellow and one purple. The border of the squares are lined with small, low numbered flags. In the center of each square is a tower shaped like the lookout tower on a pirate ship. Several ropes are hanging from each tower, and fall down to the ground.
The tribe will divide into two teams of five. One person from each team will lie face down in a cradle, suspended in the air. That’s what the ropes hanging from the tire are attached to. Attached to the cradle are four ropes. The remaining four people will hold and maneuver the ropes to move the person in the cradle. The cradled person will collect the fifteen numbered flags in numerical order, which of course is not how they’re arranged on the ground. Then they will put the flags in a corresponding spot that is in a huge log on the other side of the circle.
The first team to.....
