Survivor: Does It Have To Be Said? Strategic and Tactical Analysis by Dr. EJ
October 27, 2016
If you let the Millenials stay strong, they will vote out the Gen Xs. Zeke is more of a possibility to jump ship.
Zeke, you see your status within the Millenials – jumping ship saves your life short term and improves your long-term chances. Vote Michelle out!
Michaela: Your physical game is strong. Your mouth is getting you in trouble.
Yelling at your tribemate during the challenge?
Helping out another tribe?
You have damage minimization to do – tell the Gen Xs you were really just trying to get rid of Figgy, or someone on the Takali tribe.
It was an act to say you wanted the Millenials to stick together.
Perhaps even throw one of your own under the bus, someone you don’t need – perhaps Hannah if you really dislike her so much.
Cover up your tracks, even if you do stick with the Millenials.
Will and Jason Nice job finding the immunity idol last night. Micaela is a threat, and she has put the target squarely on her own back.
Do you pacify her until the Gen Xs are gone? Or get rid of her now? Either way, be aware that the threat comes from within.
Hannah: I have a lot more sympathy for you knowing you suffer from panic attacks. I also thought you did your best to manage them last night, especially when being yelled at by your tribe mate Micaela.
This tolerance will serve you well if you choose to stick to the numbers, and at some point, her abrasiveness can be used against her. You can point out your value as a tolerant tribemate under all circumstances, someone to keep around.
Bret and Sunday: You have a real target in Micaela. Point out to the others how she is going to vote them off, sticking with Micelle later on.
And of course, if you learn about the idol, Will or Jason can be blindsided. Be aware of the tips that have dropped your way.
The game is tough enough. You don’t have to make it worse with your mouth.
Castaways need to think about what they want to communicate, and if it has to be communicated.
Whose skills at doing so will get them far in the game?
We’ll have another piece of the puzzle next week, along with updated strategic and tactical considerations.
