Survivor China: Great Plans And Lousy Luck Don't Mix
Commentary by Alisa

Would you believe it?
Lady Luck has turned the tide in favor of those worthless Zhan Hus. At first, the sequence of events that led to the finding of the almighty Immunity Idol seemed to be the pathway to success for the Fei Longs. Todd had collected three clues which pointed him in the right direction and then James who was "kidnapped" by his old tribe, provided Todd with the last clue. In return, he promised to save James. This was to take place at tribal council after it was assumed that the Zhan Hus would either throw or lose the Immunity Challenge.
The Fei Longs had done extremely well in the Reward Challenge, winning the Charmin' Tea Ceremony (not my choice for a great title-just too evocative if you catch my drift) which included tea, lots of sweets, and a "Western toilet" facility which was loaded with luxurious high-powered Charmin toilet paper. This way you could eat your tea cakes and take a good **** and feel empowered. Oh, and did I mention the weird bamboo bathtubs where you could scrub yourself to your heart's content?
A good time was had by all.
The Turn of Events
Back at their camp, the Zhan Hus were feeling out of sorts. For the first time, their sense of security had left them and they seemed to be giving up. Things were just not going their way.
Should they throw the Immunity challenge or shouldn't they? This was causing them a great deal of consternation. As usual Erik was not saying much while the two women were discussing and debating the issue. Perhaps it would be wiser to go for it and not lose any more people, not even James when he returns from his tea party.
That appeared to be their ultimate decision. Finally, they made a rational choice.
The Immunity Challenge
With hope in my heart, I listened as Todd told his tribe that they had to win this one. It was extremely important.
Unfortunately, the luck of Fei Long had run out. What a bad time for that to happen.
The Chinese Puzzle
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Has always been one of my favorite sayings. I could sit around and think deeply about it just to gain the wisdom of Lao Tse and not have to utilize anything but my brain.
In this case, the two tribes had to race into an old abandoned house and retrieve eight wooden slats that would have to be slotted in the correct order to complete the saying. Things became hectic as Zhan Hu members suddenly found some energy and were neck and neck with the Fei Longs. As expected, the Fei Longs won this one for their reward.
P.G. and her pal Jaime were shocked when their former tribe mates, Sherea and Frosti, completely ignored them during the challenge. There went that great idea about having their allegiance upon the merge. I called that one last week, and I'm certain that I was not the only one.
"Perfect plan, genius idea, smashed" - Todd.
Just when the precise plan had been hatched.....
