Survivor China: Ranking The Remaining 12
By Logan Huffman
October 12, 2007
This week on 'Survivor China', Dave and Sherea battled at Zhan Hu, as Dave continued to get on everyone's nerves. And on Fei Long, Courtney and Jean-Robert were at each other's throats.

Fei Long regained their winning streak at the Reward Challenge, winning the help of a local fisherman and his family for one day. They chose to kidnap Dave, who annoyed them as well once he got back to camp with them. And after the fisherman and his family arrived, Jean-Robert impressed his tribe by communicating with the fisherman's family through his knowledge of Mandarin. But at Zhan Hu, the tribe sluggishly struggled along without workhorse Dave completing many of the tasks.

At the Immunity Challenge, Fei Long's winning streak continued once more, and Zhan Hu was forced to face another Tribal Council, where enemies Sherea and Dave were both on the line.

In the end, Dave's personality was too much for him to overcome, and he became the fourth castaway to be voted off of 'Survivor China'.
Todd
Current Ranking: 1 - Previous Ranking: 2

Todd moves up to the number one position this week. He played well when Dave came over to the camp, and managed to get another clue towards the Hidden Immunity Idol, making him the only person on his tribe who has any clues to its whereabouts. He continues to play the game strategically, and I think he will be around for quite a while.
Aaron
Current Ranking: 2 - Previous Ranking: 1

Aaron remains near the top of the scoreboard this week. We didn't see too much of Aaron this week, but he is apparently still leading his tribe well, and I don't think he is in any danger at this point.
Peih-Gee
Current Ranking: 3 - Previous Ranking: 4

Peih-Gee moves up one position to number three on the scoreboard this week. With Dave now gone, I'm assuming that Peih-Gee will take over on the leadership role. While it could put her in danger, she seems to be well respected by her tribe, and I think she will flourish in her new role.
Amanda
Current Ranking: 4 - Previous Ranking: 3

Amanda continues to lay low, but she still has her alliance with Todd and Aaron, and she is in no danger of leaving at this point.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
James
Current Ranking: 5 - Previous Ranking: 9

After a temporary drop last week, James returns to the number five position this week. He still has his strength going for him, and that factor along will keep him around at least until the merge.
Jaime
Current Ranking: 6 - Previous Ranking: 5

We didn't see too much of Jaime on this episode, but she is the only castaway on her tribe to have a clue to the whereabouts of the Hidden Idol. She seems to fit in well with her tribe, and if she can manage to find the Idol, she will be in a very good position.
Frosti
Current Ranking: 7 - Previous Ranking: 8

Frosti moves up one position on the scoreboard this week. He seems to be one of the stronger members of his tribe, and I don't think he is in any danger at this point.
Erik
Current Ranking: 8 - Previous Ranking: 7

Erik comes in eighth place this week. While Erik didn't perform too well in the challenges, he is well-liked by his tribe, and we see that he and Jaime start up a special "friendship" next week, and that will clearly result in an alliance, which will only help Erik advance further in the game.
Denise
Current Ranking: 9 - Previous Ranking: 10

Denise continues to move up the scoreboard by default. I was amazed when she actually spoke on this episode, even though she really didn't say anything useful. However, progress has been made, and the next step has to be for her to start saying something useful to the game. Right?
Jean-Robert
Current Ranking: 10 - Previous Ranking: 11

Jean-Robert moves up on the scoreboard once again this week. It's shocking, I know. Both he and Courtney are pretty much level running on being the next one voted out of their tribe, but the reason I ranked Jean-Robert higher this week is because I was impressed by his language skills with the fisherman and his family. That helped his tribe out a lot more, as they were able to obtain much more information from the experience than they would have been able to without Jean-Robert's help. However, I still don't think he'll make it much further.
Courtney
Current Ranking: 11 - Previous Ranking: 13

Courtney moves up two positions on the scoreboard this week, but remains in last place for her tribe. She seems to be the weakest member of the tribe, and while she does seem to be well-liked, if they do lose the next Immunity Challenge, I'm not sure the tribe will be able to overlook her physical inabilities once again.
Sherea
Current Ranking: 12 - Previous Ranking: 6

Sherea tumbles down the scoreboard into last place this week. I really had more hope for Sherea, and I was right in one sense. She performs very well in the challenges, and she is a huge asset to her tribe in that aspect. But, she was very lazy around camp this week, and she didn't even really act like she cared. It is important to conserve energy for challenges, but if she keeps up her nonchalant attitude about working around camp, she will be a goner very soon.
Dave
4th Boot

We all knew this was coming. Although Dave really tried to lead his tribe well, his leadership style was too bossy and divisive. His tribe gave him the benefit of the doubt one time and voted off Ashley, but Sherea's physicality in challenges won out this time, which spelled the end for Dave, as he was unanimously voted off of 'Survivor China' in a 5-1 vote.
Leslie
3rd Boot

I'm not surprised that this happened. Leslie made herself a target from the very first day when she didn't participate in the ceremony with the others. She seemed to be meshing with her tribe alright, but being kidnapped by Zhan Hu was her downfall. She came right back to her tribe and talked about how well she bonded with the Christians: Erik, Sherea, and Jaime. A four-person alliance is powerful, and they couldn't take the chance that she could jump ship at the merge. Combine that with her lack of strength, and you have a winning combination for elimination. Leslie became the third castaway to be voted off of 'Survivor China' in a 6-2 vote.
Ashley
2nd Boot

I am not at all surprised that Ashley is gone. You have to lay low and stay out of arguments with people, especially in the very beginning of the game, and she just couldn't do that with Dave. I think that if she had just stayed a little more calm and quiet, Dave would have gone instead. But, that didn't happen, and Ashley became the second castaway voted off of 'Survivor China' in a 6-1 vote.
Chicken
1st Boot

I can't say I'm completely surprised by Chicken's dismissal. He obviously didn't fit in to his tribe, and even he knew that. I think he could have overcome his differences with the tribe, but he really dug his own grave. Although the tribe didn't listen to his original suggestions, completely blowing them off when he was directly asked for his opinion was a stupid move. Ultimately, his inability to make a decision led to his demise, as Chicken became the first castaway to be voted off of 'Survivor China' in a 5-2-1 vote.
