The Amazing Race 14: Here's How You Lose A Million Dollars
Recap by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Cari C.
May 11, 2009
Tonight is the finale of The Amazing Race.

Last week the need to pee outweighed the need for one million dollars. I swear that has to be the most expensive bathroom break ever.

Tonight, Tammy and Victor, Luke and Margie, and Cara and Jamie will race to the end for the million dollar prize.

I really could care less who wins at this point. I dislike all three teams and to be honest I have disliked the whole race. I don't like how they changed the rules.

A couple of seasons ago teams could barter to pay for taxi rides but not this season and lets not even get me started on the whole blind U-Turn. I wish they would stop messing with a good thing.

Of course, even if I don't like it, one of the teams has to win and if I have to pick one I am going to go with Tammy and Victor. They have run a good race and they are probably the least annoying of the three. As long as Cara and Jamie don't win I could live with either of the other teams.

Since they came in first on the last leg, this week Tammy and Victor get to leave the Pit Stop first at 9:15 pm.

Teams must now fly to Maui, Hawaii. Once there they will have to find Beach Access 118 and arrive there in the provided swimsuits.

They head to the airport and discover they must wait until 6 am to purchase tickets.

In the meantime, Luke and Margie depart the Pit Stop at 11:24 pm and Cara and Jamie depart at 2:04 am. Even though there is a huge time difference between the teams, they all end up on the same flight. Since they can't purchase tickets until 6 am, it allows all the teams to be able to get tickets on the same flight.

All three teams arrive in Hawaii and once again Tammy and Victor take the lead. While in the taxis, the teams change into their swimsuits. They arrive at the beach dressed and ready to go.

They must now season a 145 pound pig and then carry it down the beach to a Luau. Once they arrive, they must cover it properly so that it may be cooked. Once it is covered properly, they will receive the next clue. Tammy and Victor get to work.

The other two teams arrive within minutes of each other and at this point it is all about willpower. A 145 pound pig is quite heavy for only two people to carry. The girls are having the worse time but Tammy is having a lot of trouble too. Margie and Luke end up beating the other two teams even though they were the last team to arrive at the beach.

They arrive at the correct place and begin to work covering their pig. Tammy and Victor arrive next followed by Cara and Jamie. All three team work to get their pig covered. Luke and Margie finish first and get the next clue.

Teams must now travel.....
