Amazing Race: Mean Girls Go Home

Last week, Ken and Tina almost got eliminated. They were very lucky that they got last on the first non-elimination round. It has pretty much been the way its been thru out the whole race. They have been pretty lucky and even though it looked like their luck ran out they held on and will be around for at least one more leg. Of the remaining racers they are one of the teams that bug me the least. I like Ken and Tina has kind of grown on me. I would much rather see the frat boys, Christy and Kelly, or Star and Nick go home. Maybe I will get my way tonight but maybe not, only time will tell.
Just like last week, Nick and Star will get to depart first. will be the lucky team to depart first. The two get to depart first at 8:55 am. They will make their way thru the congested city street and find Deshbandhu apartment complex. There they must search for the complex's central park where they will find their next clue. The two grab a taxi and head off to find the apartments. I love how the two discuss having no problem lying. Of course they call it little white lies so that makes it seem much nicer than just out and out lying. The remaining teams leave the Pit Stop at the following times:
Kelly and Christy: 9:02 am
Toni and Dallas: 9:10 am
Terrence and Sarah: 9:31 am
Frat boys: 9:44 am
Ken and Tina: 9:51 am
On the road, the teams encounter horrible traffic and lots of things they have never seen. I was shocked to see the whole family on the motorcycle. Even though the traffic slowed them down, Nick and Star get to the apartment complex first. They locate the clue box and discover a Roadblock. In this Roadblock, one team member must take part in traditional Indian celebration known as the Holi Festival. That team member must make their way to one of three ladders while the locals pelt themselves and the racers with powered dye and water in the festivals tradition. Once at the ladder, they must climb the ladder and search thru hundreds of envelopes marked "try again" to try and find one of only six marked "The Amazing Race" which will contain their next clue. Star decides to do it and heads inside. Almost immediately the pelting begins. It becomes hard for her to see or read the clue. She does a good job and soon has the clue. Teams must now make their way thru Old Delhi and find Charity Birds Hospital. Once at the hospital, they must search the cages for their next clue. The two head off with a huge lead.
Toni and Dallas arrive next and Dallas races in to complete the task. As usual, the girls are having trouble and their taxi driver is lost. It gave Toni and Dallas the chance to get ahead of them Dallas gets pelted much worse than Star did and it makes his job more difficult. He does his best to get the clue and gets out before the girls can get there. The girls arrive and Kelly decides to do it. She has a lot more trouble than the other two. She can't make it to the ladder on the first round so she stops for water and then heads back out. On the first time up the ladder, she grabs a clue and heads down. I guess she didn't read the clue. She gets back to Christy with a try again clue and has to go back out. While the two run around in circles as usual, Terrence and Sarah arrive and Terrence heads out to complete the task. Apparently he reads the clue and gets the right clue on the first time. Kelly gets another clue and again it is wrong. While Kelly heads back out, the Frat boys arrive while Terrence and Sarah finish and head off.
Dan quickly completes the task and head off. Kelly returns with another wrong envelope. She races back out and this time she falls down. She is about ready to give up but Christy talks her out of it. The two finally read the clue again and figure out they have been doing it wrong the whole time. They get the clue and head out. Ken and Tina meanwhile arrive and Ken heads in to do the task. The girls let their taxi go when they got there so they can't seem to find a driver. Ken and Tina end up finishing and heading out before the girls can even find a taxi. In a different part of town, Nick and Star have arrived at the bird hospital and learn they must enter without their shoes or socks. They take them off and race to find the next clue. They quickly locate the clue and discover a Detour. In this Detour teams must chose between two professions seen on the streets of India. Their choice, Bleary eyed or Teary eyed. In Bleary eyed, teams must make their way to a local street corner to help the Department of Power. From street level, teams must follow a power line keeping track of the numbered tags that sporadically appear. They must then find the man with the sewing machine and give him the list of numbers. If the list is correct he will direct them to a shop across the street where they will plug in a musical elephant statue with a name I cannot spell and receive the next clue. In Teary eyed, teams must make their way to the spice market and find the marked store. There they must pick up two forty pound bags of dried chilies and deliver them on foot one quarter mile to another shop. There they must use a mortar and pestal to make enough chili powder to fill their container to the designated line to receive the next clue.
Nick and Star decide to search.....
