The Amazing Race: Ring That Bell Or Go Home
Leg Seven Recap by RTVC Staff Writer Cari C.

Can't read, can't count,
but still in the race.
Last week was crazy at my house. So much so I had to miss recapping my show.
I did get to see the show and was not surprised to see how things unfolded. Mika and Cannan have consistently been at the bottom so it was no big shock to see them go.
What was a shock was Mika’s meltdown. I know she was afraid of heights but it was a bit much. Those water wings were also a bit much. Why would you go on The Amazing Race and not know how to swim?
If it was me, as soon as I was chosen I would have been down at the pool learning to swim. When will racers learn there are some things about the race that never change? If you do not know how to swim, drive a stick shift, read a map, or follow directions then the race is not for you.
Last week, Meghan and Cheyne came in first so this week they get to leave first this week at 1:13 pm. Teams will have to fly to Amsterdam in The Netherlands and then drive themselves to a local monument.
The other teams depart the Pit Stop and head for the airport at the following times:
3:09 pm- Tiffany and Maria
3:10 pm- Sam and Dan
3:25 pm- Brian and Erica
3:34 pm- Gary and Matt
4:20 pm- Flight Time and Big Easy
All the teams arrive at the airport only to discover that the first flight to Amsterdam does not depart until 12:00 am.
Instead of the usual separation we are use to, it looks like all the remaining teams get along and they enjoy some bonding time while waiting on the flight. Once they do arrive in Amsterdam, the race is back on.
All the teams have to get cars and drive to the monument. Before they can even get on the road, trouble finds Brian and Erica. For some reason Brian can’t figure out how to start the car.
While he sits and tries to figure it out, the other teams drive off and find the monument. They now have to drive a different city and find Martinitoren which is the highest building in the city.
At the next route marker, teams find a road block. One team member must climb to the top while counting bells. If they get the correct number of 62 they will get the next clue.
Everyone gets to work climbing and counting. Meghan, Sam, Matt, Tiffany, Flight Time, and Erica are the counters. Matt is the first to finish so he and Gary zoom into first place.
They must now make their way to yet another city and find a windmill. Sam and Meghan finish and head off. Sam cheats and tells Tiffany the number. Soon all the teams have the number right except Erica. She gives the wrong number and has to go back and count again. It can’t be that hard all the other teams did it.
At the Windmill, the teams begin to arrive and find this leg’s Detour. In this Detour teams must put on traditional Dutch costumes and then ride bicycles to their chosen task.
Teams must choose either.....
