Welcome back everyone I hope you guys are all geared up for another season of the Amazing Race!
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely excited as there is diversity among the teams this season such as a team of two Big Brother contestants, Jeff and Jordan, from last season, a former Miss Teen USA contestant from 2007, as well as cowboys, brothers and many more!
All eleven teams met in Los Angeles to depart on the difficult twelve leg race around the world. Right from the beginning the competition was on as teams scrambled to catch one of the first flights out to their first destination, Chile.
Overall, the first leg was definitely very interesting.
Some teams had a good first showing, such as Jordan and Jeff, and Brent and Caite, while others like Carol and Brandy, Jody and Shannon, and Dana and Adrian suffered a little bit.
Surprisingly by the end of the night two teams already came in contact with penalties.
Brent and Caite were the second to arrive, but didn’t use the funicular to leave the cable roadblock leading to a thirty minute penalty at the pitstop.
Dan and Jordan also suffered a penalty of fifteen minutes after losing one of their paintbrushes while traveling to paint a house for one of their challenges.
In the end, Jordan and Jeff capitalized on the first leg finishing first at the pitstop, while Adrian couldn’t overcome his fear of heights in order to complete the cable roadblock therefore eliminating Dana and Adrian from the race.
I have to say I’m really looking forward to this season.
So far my favorites are Jet and Cord and Jordan and Jeff.
I’m not feeling Brent and Caite, Dan and Jordan, and Carol and Brandy too much.
For some reason I just didn’t get a good first impression from them, but who knows, maybe they will surprise me.
